Terms of Service

These terms apply to your use of the scheduling site at meet.book-tree.org (the "Site"), run by William Asai ("I", "me"). By booking a meeting or otherwise using the Site, you agree to these terms.

1. What the Site does

The Site is a personal booking page. It shows times when I may be available and lets you request a meeting with me. The Site is free to use and requires no account.

2. Bookings

• A booking is confirmed when the Site shows a confirmation and you receive a calendar invitation.
• Times shown are not a guarantee. I may decline, reschedule, or cancel any booking, for example if a conflict arises. I will try to let you know through the calendar invitation.
• To cancel or reschedule, reply to or decline the calendar invitation, or contact me.
• Video calls use Google Meet, which is subject to Google's own terms.

3. Your responsibilities

When you use the Site, you agree to:

• give accurate information, including an email address you are entitled to use;
• book only meetings you genuinely intend to attend;
• not use the Site to send spam or harassment, make bookings in someone else's name, or make automated or bulk bookings;
• not try to disrupt, overload, probe, or gain unauthorized access to the Site, including its admin area.

I may block or remove bookings that break these terms.

4. Privacy

How I handle the information you provide is described in the Privacy Policy.

5. Availability and disclaimer

The Site is provided "as is" and may change, be interrupted, or be discontinued at any time without notice. To the extent permitted by law, I make no warranties about the Site, including that it will be error-free or always available.

6. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, I am not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the Site, or from a meeting being missed, declined, rescheduled, or cancelled. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including under Japan's Consumer Contract Act, or liability for my intentional misconduct or gross negligence.

7. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Japan. Any dispute relating to the Site will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Tokyo District Court as the court of first instance, unless mandatory law provides otherwise.

8. Changes

I may update these terms. Changes take effect when they are posted on this page with a new effective date. Continuing to use the Site after that means you accept the updated terms.
